Bio

I'm a data-loving international development professional with over five years of experience generating and communicating evidence for policy. I am committed to using my skills to improve the world.

I currently work at the What Works Hub for Global Education under Noam Angrist. The Hub is a newly formed global consortium housed in the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford and its mission is to make progress on the global learning crisis by bridging the gap between evidence on 'what works' in education and its translation into scaled intervention and policy. I support the Hub as a Research Manager in their implementation science team.

This is my second time working with Noam — the first of which was during the pandemic to support his work on some of the first evidence on the effectiveness of distance education programs during the covid-19 pandemic (Nature Human Behaviour). During that stint I also worked with some of the Hub’s now partners — Rocket Learning and Youth Impact.

I also occasionally consult part-time with the World Bank. Prior to my current role at the University of Oxford, I was at Our World in Data working with their founder and director - Max Roser - to support their ambitious mission of increasing the use of data and evidence to make progress against the world’s most pressing problems.

I owe my research and data science skills in large part to the rigorous training I received during my Master of Public Policy at Georgetown University and the two years after it as a research analyst at the Global Poverty Research Lab at Northwestern University.

I have a BA (H) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women at the University of Delhi, and grew up in India. I currently reside in Oxford, United Kingdom.
